Q: What is carb cycling?

A: A carb cycling program is an intentional variation of carbohydrate intake each week. 

Q: Why carb cycle?

A: The very first thing you must know as you go about designing this type of diet program is that in order to see your best results, you should be putting your highest #carbohydrate diets on the days you perform your hardest workout sessions.

Q: What does carb cycling do?

A: Carb cycling allows for planned high carb days that increase your thyroid output and help you control hunger. Because you are cycling your carbs, you will also have low carb days that offset your high carb days. With this type of cycle you will continue to see fat loss, increased energy levels, and improvements to your overall body composition. Carb cycling improves insulin levels, helping your body to store less fat. Another important thing to remember as you go about your #carbcycling diet is that you should also be decreasing your overall dietary fat intake on days you go high carb. It is normal for most people to increase their overall #calories on the high carb day (to boost the carb intake that much higher) but by lowering the fat intake, you allow more room for those carbohydrates without going really crazy with your calorie level.

Q: Do I need to purchase any shakes or supplements to participate in this program?

A: No! Throughout the program we will talk about the importance of probiotics ( I use Dr Becker's Bionutrients Probiotics with FOS) , protein and other supplements like BCAA’s. I use the BCAA brand XTEND and purchase online through Amazon. While I am happy to share the products I use and love, none of them are required to participate. I am a huge proponent of fueling your body with real food, and this program is based on that premise. Nothing is required but hard work, commitment and a positive mindset.

 

Q: What are macros?

A. Macronutrients are molecules that our bodies use to create energy for themselves – primarily fat, protein and carbs. They are found in all foods in varying amounts, measured in grams (g) on the nutrition labels.​

  • Fat provides 9 calories per gram

  • Protein provides 4 calories per gram

  • Carbohydrates provide 4 calories per gram

 

If you eat less calories than you burn, you will likely lose weight. But counting calories can only tell you so much; if you’re not careful and don’t eat the right calories, you’ll likely lose muscle too! To maintain, lose or even gain weight, many people rely on counting macros to make sure they’re eating correctly.

 

Q: Do I need a gym membership to complete FIT in 4?

A: No, I provide bonus workouts that can be done at home or in the gym.  The mindset piece can be done in any journal or notepad you have on hand.

 

Q: What does my program investment include?

  • A program that establishes a new beginning through mind, body, and spirit 

  • Trainings to set you up for success

  • A bonus workout plan which can be completed at the gym or at home

  • Accountability and a supportive approach that keeps you on track to accomplish your goals 

 

Q: Do you offer a refund if I don't feel this program is a good fit?

No. Because we give you all of the content, strategies and training up front, we do not offer any refunds. There have been occasions where we will allow someone to delay their participation to a later round, due to extenuating circumstances.  However, we do not offer any type of refund, including partial refunds. 

Q: What happens after my initial 4 week session?

You have the option to take the information you have learned and continue to work the program on your own, or you can pay a monthly veteran fee of $60 and continue to stay connected.  We will check in monthly and adjust your macros as needed to ensure continued fat loss.  Plus you will continue in the Facebook community where you will receive weekly workouts and ongoing learning and accountability.
